«Wie schön dieses Bergland ist! Baumriesen stehen Spalier an der Schotterstrasse, die sich den Hang hinaufwindet. An vielen Bäumen wachsen Mangos oder Avocados. Darunter recken sich die Riesenstauden der Ensete, auch Zierbanane genannt, so hoch wie Einfamilienhäuser. Ihre mannsgrossen Blätter leuchten hellgrün im Morgenlicht. Der Strauch darunter braucht ihren Schatten: Die Kirschen des berühmten Waldkaffees gedeihen nur mit Sonnenschutz. Am Boden ziehen die fleissigen Bauern Kohl, Mangold, Bohnen, Kartoffeln, Karotten: So könnte das Paradies aussehen.» Das Schweizer Magazin «doppelpunkt» berichtet in seiner jüngsten Ausgabe über unser Projekt im Distrikt Raphe in Südäthiopien.
