Wie lebt man von einem Franken pro Tag?

  • Alles ist relativ. Auch Armut. In der Schweiz ist eine Familie mit zwei Kindern arm, wenn sie weniger als 3981 CHF im Monat zur Verfügung hat: So definiert das Bundesamt für Statistik relative Armut.
  • Absolut oder extrem arm ist laut Definition, wer mit weniger als 1,90 CHF pro Tag zurechtkommen muss. In Äthiopien sind das Millionen Menschen. Sie geben alles Geld für Lebensmittel aus und ihre Kinder können sich trotzdem nicht satt essen.
  • Das muss nicht so sein. Wir wissen, wie man Familien aus extremer Armut befreit. In unserem neuen Nagaya Magazin schildern wir, wie das geht. Und wir berichten über Aster. Das zwölfjährige Mädchen träumt davon, Stewardess zu werden: Schafft sie den «Take off» aus dem Slum?
